The Sexuality Archives of Widener University was founded in 2009 by Librarian Molly Wolf. The mission of the Sexuality Archives is to collect, preserve and make available to researchers, materials such as pamphlets, papers, newsletters, books, journals and audiovisual materials related to the history of Sexuality, Sexology and Sexuality Education as well as Widener's Human Sexuality program. The Sexuality Archives collections include thousands of books, periodicals, personal papers, pamphlets, audiovisual materials, and ephemera as well as a strong social media presence.
This collection celebrates the intersections of the digital collections of both the Widener University Archives and the Sexuality Archives around the issues of gender, sexuality, feminism, and LGBTQ rights, among others. The collection includes images, pamphlets, and books. Materials are presented in chronological order to show how Widener and its predecessor institutions served as a reflection of the evolution of thought on these issues.
