Description	With its initiation as an intramural sport in 1915, polo became very important to the advancement of the College over the next twenty or so years. To increase its national profile, PMC entered intercollegiate polo in 1923 and quickly became a recognized power in the sport, playing throughout the nation in large venues including Madison Square Garden. The team won the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championship in 1928 and 1943. Polo was discontinued in 1948.
